| A816 Oban - Lochgilphead |
The A816 Oban - Lochgilphead road will be closed
overnight 7pm to 6am from Monday 29th August to Friday 2nd September for
essential maintenance works. The works
will be taking place between Kintraw farm and Salachary and will involve
planing and resurfacing of the existing road.
The diversion route will be via Inveraray and will be adequately
signed. Access will be maintained for
emergency vehicles. Advance
warning/Road Closed signs will be erected in Lochgilphead and Oban with manned
roadblocks at the B8002. Ardfern junction and the B840, Ford junction. There will be times throughout the night that
the road can be opened to allow traffic through under convoy but times cannot
be guaranteed and there may be significant delays to anyone preferring to use
this route.
