CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 UPDATE 24th March 2020

Following on from last night’s announcement by the Government, we have taken the decision to close the workshop, slip and boatyard. This now means that the whole of the yacht centre is closed for the protection of our staff, customers and the local community.

There will be a small team on site to ensure the safety of boats, both ashore and afloat, and to keep an eye on everything. Please be assured that your boat remains safe in our care.

During office hours we can be contacted by phone on 01852 500247 or by email office@ardfernyacht.co.uk

We thank all of our loyal customers for your continued support through these challenging times and look forward to welcoming you back to Ardfern once the restrictions are lifted.

Andrew and Joanna Ashton and all the team at Ardfern.

A lovely spring day at Ardfern today

Currently it is business as usual at Ardfern Yacht Centre and we look forward to welcoming all of our customers back to their boats with us this spring - but obviously it is high on all of our minds the way the new coronavirus is spreading across the UK.

We are complying with all Government guidelines issued to the public and to businesses and we have already implemented a stricter cleaning regime at Ardfern – particularly focusing on the facilities block and chandlery areas to ensure staff and customer safety, as best as we possibly can.

We will keep monitoring these guidelines and the daily changing situation and will of course implement what ever else we are asked to do in order to protect all who work or visit Ardfern during this ever-changing and challenging period.

At the time of writing there have been no confirmed cases of the virus in the Argyll area and we politely ask that if you are feeling unwell please postpone your visit to the area until you are feeling better or have self isolated for up to 14 days as per Government guidelines.

If you are unable to visit us but require something from the chandlery or have further work to be done on your boat as spring approaches please do not hesitate to email or phone us and the chandlery or workshop teams will be happy to help you.

For those who are planning an imminent visit to Ardfern we would like to remind you that Ardfern Village Store has a comprehensive range of grocery items available and deliveries can be made directly to boats if pre-arranged with shop owner Rebecca Dalton who can be contacted at rdalton@email.com or by phoning 01852 500298.

In addition the new cafĂ©/bistro ‘Lucy’s’ is now open in the village and is now offering a take-a-way menu including food throughout the day and on a Friday and Saturday evening from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Take-a-way coffees are also available and ready meals can be pre-ordered all ready to go in your boat fridge from Lucy Gladstone on 01852 500781.

For more regular updates on Ardfern news please follow our facebook and instagram pages.

We thank all of our loyal customers for their continued support during this challenging time and hope you can get out onto the water away from it all, to enjoy your boats and all the beautiful West Coast has to offer, as soon as possible.

Andrew & Joanna Ashton and all of the team at Ardfern.
